Known problems
Oil interval is shorter in cold or low-hour use
Change the engine oil every 300 hours below -12 C or in hard going, and every year if the tractor does few hours. The filter stays on the 600-hour schedule.
Fit the inner air element properly
The handbook warns a badly seated inner element can damage the engine, and recommends your dealer fits it.
Check the coolant type
Use 50/50 Akcela antifreeze with clean soft water. Where antifreeze is unavailable, the handbook allows clean water with 5% chemical inhibitor.
AdBlue handling
Store AdBlue between -11 C and 30 C in an approved container, and do not add anti-freeze or other additives.

Repair guides
- Fuel pre-filter and fuel filter: draining and replacing (T7 Sidewinder II, Maxxum EP) (Moderate, 45 minutes): Water warning on the display, loss of power, hard starting, or the filters are due. Both the primary filter with the water drain and the secondary filter are disposable spin-on types.
- Bleeding the fuel system with the primer pump (T7, Maxxum EP, Puma, T6080) (Easy, 20 minutes): Engine will not start or runs out of fuel after the filters have been changed, the tank ran dry or fuel lines were opened.
- Wheel nut and bolt torques (T7, Maxxum EP, Puma, T6080) (Easy, 30 minutes): Loose or new wheels, wheels removed, or the periodic wheel nut check is due. Loose wheels damage hubs and studs.
- Handbrake cable adjustment (T7, Maxxum EP) (Moderate, 45 minutes): Handbrake lever pulls up too far, the tractor creeps on a slope, or one rear wheel locks before the other.
- Drive belt inspection and replacement (T7, Maxxum EP, T6080) (Moderate, 1 hour): Squealing, belt cracked or frayed, charging or air-con problems, or the compressor belt for air brakes slipping.
- Transmission and hydraulic filters and oil change (T7, Maxxum EP) (Hard, 3 hours): The 50-hour first service, the 600- and 1200-hour services, weak remote valves or gear-change quality getting worse.
- Air cleaner outer element: replacing, not cleaning (T7, Maxxum EP) (Easy, 20 minutes): Air filter restriction symbol on the display, black smoke or loss of power. The handbook says replace the outer element and do not clean it.
The full step-by-step guides are in Farmyard Workshop once you add your tractor.
