Known problems

Handbook is the 1999 Renault issue

This is the Renault Agriculture handbook for the Ares 540 to 640. Claas-badged tractors from 2003 may have different parts and figures, so check your own handbook.

Early service

The handbook says to change the engine oil at 100 hours on a new tractor and warns that the first 100 hours with a light load can glaze the cylinder liners.

Repair guides

The full step-by-step guides are in Farmyard Workshop once you add your tractor.
