Engine oil and filter change

Engine · every 100 hours

The service chart changes the engine oil every 100 hours and the oil filter every 200 hours, so the filter is due at every other oil change. Change both at the 20/60-hour first service on a new or rebuilt engine.

Known problems

Two brake fluids

Earlier tractors used Dexron ATF and later ones Agricastrol FBS in the brake and clutch systems. Mixing them ruins both systems. Green reservoir covers or tape mean FBS.

Air filter warning lamp

Clean the main element only when the lamp lights and never disturb the safety element.

PTO clutch free movement

On low profile tractors do not run with less than 1¾ in (45 mm) free movement at the PTO lever.
