Engine oil and filter change

Engine · every 500 hours or every year

Eurol's page for both models says change the engine oil every 500 hours, with a first change at 50 hours on the 6190. Hengst's data sheet also gives 500 hours for the standard oil filter on the TCD 4.1 and 6.1 engines used in Deutz-Fahr Agrotron 6 and 7 tractors. Later Stage V 6 TTV tractors are quoted at 1,000 hours (see the notes).

  3. Run the engine, stop it, wait a minute and recheck the level and for leaks.
  4. Take the old oil to a proper disposal point.

Longer oil interval on Stage V tractors

Deutz-Fahr's Canadian 6 TTV page says the engine oil interval is 1,000 hours (and 2,000 hours for the transmission and hydraulics) on the later 6190 to 6230 TTV Stage V tractors. Hengst says its newer long-life filter module lets the TCD 4.1 and 6.1 run 1,000 hours. Do not use 1,000 hours on the earlier tractors.

Other 6 Series models

6120 to 6230 models not listed in the variants were not researched. Capacities differ between engines and gearboxes.
