1. Wipe each grease nipple clean.
2. Pump in grease from your handbook's lubrication chart until fresh grease just shows.
3. Wipe off the excess, which only collects dirt.

Tools: Grease gun, Rags

1. Park on level ground, lower the linkage and any implement, stop the engine, take the key out and chock the wheels.
2. Warm the engine first so the oil drains well, then let it stand a few minutes. Hot oil burns, so wear gloves.
3. Remove the sump drain plug and let the oil drain fully.
4. Remove the old oil filter and clean the filter seat. Wipe a little clean oil on the new seal and fit the filter as it says on the filter.
5. Fit the drain plug with a new gasket and tighten it to the torque in your handbook.
6. Fill with the oil in the notes, run the engine for a minute, stop, wait a few minutes and check the dipstick. Top up to the mark, not above.
7. Check for leaks at the filter and plug.

Tools: Drain tray (large enough for the sump), Filter wrench, Spanner or socket for the sump plug, Funnel, Rags, Gloves

2. Clean around the filler and drain plugs. Remove the filler plug first so you know you can refill it.
3. Remove the drain plugs and let the oil run out. Clean any magnetic plugs.
4. Fit the drain plugs with new gaskets or O-rings.
5. Fill through the filler hole to the level in your handbook. Wait a few minutes and check again.
6. Refit the filler plug and check for leaks after a short drive.

3. Drain the oil from the plugs the handbook shows. Warm oil drains best, but take care, it is hot.
4. Change the filters and O-rings listed, wetting the new seals with clean oil.
5. Refit the drain plugs with new gaskets, then fill with the oil in the notes.
6. Run the engine, work the controls, then stop and check the level. Top up to the mark. Check for leaks.

1. Stop the engine and take the key out. Let it cool.
2. Carry out the check or change as your handbook describes.
3. Replace or adjust anything that is worn or out of limits.
4. Run the engine and check that everything works.

Tools: Basic hand tools, Torch, Rags

1. Stop the engine and let it cool completely. Never open a hot cooling system.
2. Open the radiator or expansion cap slowly, then drain the coolant from the drain plug into a tray.
3. Fit the drain plug with a new gasket.
4. Refill with the coolant in the notes, run the engine up to temperature with the heater on full and top up.
5. Dispose of old coolant properly. Never pour it on the ground.
