Known problems

AdBlue and DPF

These Tier 4 Final engines carry an AdBlue tank. Keep it topped up with clean AdBlue and keep the filler cap shut; dirty or wrong fluid can damage the dosing system.

Brake fluid type

Loadall brakes run on JCB hydraulic fluid. DOT brake fluid damages the seals and brake pack: check your handbook for the right one.

Boom wear pads and main pivot

Rock the extension for side play. Unshimmed pads can crack the area around the main pivot pin.

Accumulators

Accumulators hold pressure with the engine off. JCB says only a dealer should discharge them.
