Known problems
DPF and oil
This engine has a diesel particulate filter. Use CJ-4 oil and ultra-low-sulphur diesel only. DPF cleaning at 3,000 hours is for a Kubota dealer, not the owner.
Biodiesel
The handbook allows up to B20 but shortens the oil, oil filter and fuel filter intervals above B5, and warns against storing B6–B20 for over a month.
Do not take off the wrong filter (HST)
On the HST type, remove the transmission oil filter at 200 hours, not the hydraulic oil filter, or oil drains out.
