Kverneland: lubricate according to the maintenance chart, after heavy use, and at least once a season, with 1 or 2 strokes of the gun. The chart marks points as daily (D), weekly (W) or once per season (S), but the grid itself is a drawing, so check it in your handbook. Track marker pivots are greased daily, support wheels and the fan drive weekly. Do not grease maintenance-free bearings.

Step-by-step

Wipe each nipple clean first.
Give 1 or 2 strokes only. If you feel resistance on the second stroke stop, as excess grease lets dust in.
Track marker: fold out and lower the machine, fold the marker in, then grease the two pivot points.
Support wheels (one nipple on each side section wheel) and the fan drive (one nipple under the cover) are weekly points.

Retighten bolts and screw connections

General · every year

Kverneland: retighten all bolts after the first hours of operation, depending on use, and at least once a season. Minimum bolt quality is 8.8. Where a different torque is needed the Maintenance chapter says so.

Step-by-step

Use the torque table on p121 of the manual (M12 8.8 = 93 Nm, M16 = 230 Nm, M20 = 464 Nm).

Check tyre pressure

The wheels page says once per season. Pressures: 11.5/80-15.3 at 1.4 bar and 20 x 8.0-10 at 2.4 bar.

Check once per season. Take the cover off, check belt tension and adjust with the spring adjuster bolt. Replace the belt when worn.

Replace worn coulters, clod board tools and track marker discs

No interval given: replace when worn. Coulters with seed pipes are bolted on (nut and bolt); clod board tools are replaced when worn; the track marker disc is sharp, wear gloves, and retighten its bolts after the first two hours.

Step-by-step

Release the nuts, take out the bolts and swap the part, then refit and secure with the nuts.
Pay attention to the tightening torques of the bolts used on the coulter.
Retighten the track marker disc bolts after the first two hours of work.

The Maintenance chapter says check regularly: ventilation, sealing lip and rotor. Empty the hopper and metering device of seed before working on it. No hour interval is given.
