Service jobs and parts

Check bolts and nuts

Frame · every 20 hours

Lemken says check all bolts and nuts first after 10 working hours, then every 20 hours, and tighten any that have loosened.

Step-by-step
  1. Stop the tractor, take the key out and park the drill on firm ground.
  2. Check every bolt and nut. Tighten the loose ones.
  3. Check the first time after 10 working hours, then every 20 hours.

Tools: Spanner set, Torque wrench

Grease all lubrication points

Lubrication · every year

Lemken says grease all the grease points regularly with high-quality grease, but the manual gives no hours figure. Grease them often in work and at least before each season. Check your handbook diagram.

Step-by-step
  1. Stop the tractor and clean the nipples.
  2. Grease every grease point on the coulter bar, the folding hinges and the drive.
  3. Do not point a pressure washer at the coulter bar folding bearings, the coulters or the rollers.

Tools: Grease gun, Rags

Double-disc coulters and scrapers

Wear parts · every year

Lemken says worn double disc coulters and scrapers must be replaced in time, so the carrying parts are not damaged, and only with genuine Lemken parts.

PartQtyNotesPart number
Double disc coulter1Genuine Lemken, per row. Part number: check your parts bookcheck your handbook
Scraper1Genuine Lemken, per coulter. Check your parts bookcheck your handbook
Step-by-step
  1. Check each coulter for disc wear, play in the bearing and the scrapers' contact.
  2. Replace worn coulters and scrapers before they damage the carrier arms.
  3. Check all the discs turn freely.

Tools: Spanners, Torque wrench

Fan intake: cover, pipe and dust filter

Seed system · every year

The dust filter takes out 85% of the dust in the air drawn in. Lemken says to open the cover and clean the pipe regularly, especially when the dust is heavy, and to check the filter works.

Step-by-step
  1. Open the cover (DK) and clean the pipe (RH). Refit the cover afterwards.
  2. Test the filter: throw dust into the intake. If the T-joint does not blow dust out, take the flexible hose off the filter and clean the filter.
  3. On filters with a removable bottom, open the clamps, clean, refit the bottom and secure it with the clamps.

Tools: Clamp spanner, Brush

Hydraulic hoses, tyres and lights

Hydraulics · every year

Lemken says check the hoses regularly and replace any older than 6 years. The tyres must stay within 2.2 to 2.8 bar. Check the lights each time before road use.

  3. Check the lights and warning boards work before driving on the road.

Tools: Tyre gauge, Rags
