Known problems
Air filter times are a guide
Manitou prints the air cartridge change at 500 hours as 'for information' and says to change sooner in dust.
Column ticks
The schedule table lost its tick columns in the text copy. Intervals come from the chapter headings (every 50/250/500/1000/2000 hours) and the filter list.
Repair guides
- Cleaning and greasing the boom wear pads (Manitou MT 1840, MLT 625, MT 1335) (Easy, 30 to 45 minutes): Groaning, juddering or jerky boom extension and retraction, dry or scored boom sections, or the scheduled pad service is due. The pads are what the telescopic sections slide on, so a dry boom wears them quickly.
- Checking wheel nut torque and tyres (Manitou MT 1840, MLT 625, MT 1335) (Easy, 30 minutes): Loose or clicking wheel, wheel nuts that keep working loose, tyre damage, or after any wheel has been off.
- Bleeding the fuel system (Manitou MLT 625-75 H) (Easy, 20 minutes): Engine will not start or stalls after a component of the fuel system was replaced or drained, the tank ran dry, or there is water in the filter water trap.
The full step-by-step guides are in Farmyard Workshop once you add your telehandler.
