Engine oil, filter, fuel filter and air filters (500-hour service)
Engine · every 500 hours
No MLT 626 handbook was found. This interval comes only from a specialist's 500-hour filter kit, so treat it as a guide and check your handbook. That kit holds the engine oil filter, fuel filter and outer and inner air filters. The engine oil grade and capacity were not found.

Step-by-step
- Park on firm level ground. Lower the boom fully and retract it, put the attachment flat on the ground, put the parking brake on, stop the engine and take the key out.
- Let hot oil cool until it is warm, not scalding. Wear gloves and wash used oil off your skin promptly.
- Drain the engine oil, change the oil filter (oil the new seal, fit by hand) and refill to the dipstick mark.
- Change the fuel filter, then bleed the fuel system as the handbook shows.
- Change the outer air filter element, and the inner one if your handbook says so. Do not let dust fall into the intake.
- Run the engine, check for leaks and recheck the oil level.

No MLT 626 handbook was found. This interval comes only from a specialist's 1000-hour filter kit, so treat it as a guide and check your handbook. Step-by-step
- Park on firm level ground. Lower the boom fully and retract it, put the attachment flat on the ground, put the parking brake on, stop the engine and take the key out.
- With the engine off and the key at the on position (or as your handbook says), work the boom and attachment controls a few times to let out trapped hydraulic pressure. Oil at system pressure can pierce skin.
- Never work under a raised boom or attachment unless it is held up with a proper safety prop. The hydraulics alone are not safe to work under.
- Clean round each filter housing before opening it.
- Change each hydraulic filter and the tank breather, fitting new seals.
- Start the engine, check for leaks, lower and retract the boom and check the tank level.
