1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Look at each billhook and knife for wear, burrs or a rounded cutting edge.
3. Check the cleaner and twine disc move freely and the knotter shaft has no play.
4. Renew worn parts as a set across all four knotters so they behave alike.
5. Grease the knotter nipples.

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Check the needles for bends, cracks and worn twine eyes.
3. Check the needle rollers turn and the ball joints have no slop.
4. Grease the needle bearing nipples.

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Check every tine for bends and breaks.
3. Check the reel bearings for play and the pick-up chain for wear and tension.
4. Renew worn parts.

2. Check the knife edges for chips or wear.
3. Check the connecting rod and plunger bearings for play and the seals for leaks.
4. Replace worn parts and refit with the fixing bolts tightened to the handbook figure.

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Check your serial number against the parts book and the bushing size.
3. Fit only the correct bolt, never a stronger one.
4. Check the slip clutch discs and pawls for wear.

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Check the lining for wear and the band for cracks.
3. Check the handle and rod work smoothly and hold the flywheel.
4. Renew the band if worn.

2. Check each chain for stiff links, wear and correct tension.
3. Check sprocket teeth for hooked wear.
4. Renew chains and sprockets together if worn.

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Grease every nipple on the lubrication chart.
3. Check the lube hoses and fittings for leaks.

Tools: Grease gun

1. Stop the PTO and engine, take the key out, apply the flywheel brake and let everything stop moving before you go near the baler.
2. Check the level at the level plug with the baler level.
3. Change the oil as the handbook says.
