Engine oil and filter change
Engine · every 600 hours
The quoted service interval for the T6.140 is 600 hours, with the oil and filter changed together. The source gives no time limit in months, so check your handbook if the tractor does few hours.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Engine oil | 1 | ≈15 L; grade: check your handbook | check your handbook |
| Engine oil filter (spin-on) | 1 | Agriline cross-reference for the T6.140; confirm against your serial number | 84228488 |
Step-by-step
- Run the engine for a few minutes to warm the oil, then park on level ground, lower the linkage, loader and any implement to the ground, stop the engine, take the key out and chock the wheels.
- Let it stand for a few minutes. Hot oil burns, so wear gloves.
- Remove the sump plug and let the oil drain fully. Refit it with a new washer if one is fitted.
- Clean around the filter, unscrew it and check the old seal came off with it.
- Oil the new filter seal and fit it hand-tight as marked on the filter.
- Fill to the full mark on the dipstick.
- Start the engine, check for leaks, stop it, wait a few minutes and recheck the level.
Tools: Drain tray (20 L), Spanner for sump plug, Filter wrench, Funnel, Rags, Gloves
Fuel filters change and water drain
Fuel · when needed
Water and dirt in diesel damage the common-rail pump and injectors. No source gave the interval, so check your handbook. Drain the water separator whenever water shows.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fuel/water separator (spin-on) | 1 | Agriline cross-reference for the T6.140 | 84278636 |

Step-by-step
- Stop the engine, take the key out and chock the wheels. Keep naked flames and sparks away.
- Clean around both filters before opening anything.
- Drain the water from the separator into a container.
- Remove the old filters, catching the fuel. Fit the new ones with clean, fuel-wetted seals, hand-tight.
- Prime the system as your handbook describes. Never crack open the high-pressure pipes on a common-rail engine.
- Start the engine and check for leaks.
Tools: Container for fuel, Filter wrench, Rags, Gloves
Engine air filter elements
Engine · when needed
Dust past the air filter wears the engine and turbo quickly. No source gave the interval, so change by the restriction warning or as your handbook says.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Outer (primary) air filter | 1 | Agriline cross-reference (Fleetguard AF25964); confirm against your serial number | 87682990 |

- Park on level ground, lower the linkage, loader and implements fully, stop the engine, take the key out and chock the wheels.
- With the engine off, move the spool and linkage controls to relieve hydraulic pressure.
- Let hot oil cool for a while before draining; it burns.
- Drain the oil, clean and refit the plugs, and change the filters with oiled seals.
- Refill to the correct level, run the engine, work the hydraulics and steering, lower everything and recheck the level.
Tools: Large drain tray, Spanners, Filter wrench, Pump or funnel, Gloves
AdBlue system filter
Exhaust · when needed
The T6.140 uses SCR, so the engine needs clean AdBlue from its 37 L tank. No source gave the AdBlue filter number or interval, so check your handbook.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| AdBlue supply/dosing filter | 1 | Check your handbook | check your handbook |
| AdBlue | 1 | Top up as needed; tank ≈37 L | check your handbook |
Step-by-step
- Stop the engine, take the key out and let the exhaust cool before working near it.
- Keep everything that touches AdBlue clean. Never put diesel or anything else in the AdBlue tank.
- Change the filter as your handbook describes.
- Wash off any spilt AdBlue with water; it corrodes metal and leaves white crystals.
Tools: Clean container for AdBlue, Rags, Gloves
Coolant drain and refill
Cooling · when needed
Old coolant stops protecting against frost and corrosion. No source gave the quantity, type or interval, so check your handbook.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Coolant | 1 | Check your handbook | check your handbook |
Step-by-step
- Only work on a cold engine. Let it cool for at least an hour after work and open the expansion tank cap slowly to let pressure out.
- Drain the radiator and block into a tray. Dispose of old coolant properly.
- Refill with the coolant your handbook specifies.
- Run the engine to working temperature with the heater on, let it cool and top up.
Tools: Drain tray, Hose, Antifreeze tester
Cab air filters
Cab · when needed
Cab filters keep dust out of the cab and the air conditioning. No source gave the interval or part numbers, so check your handbook.
| Part | Qty | Notes | Part number |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cab fresh air filter | 1 | 551 x 100 mm panel. Agriline also lists a smaller 377 x 130 mm filter, 87726699, for the T6.140 | 87726675 |
| Cab recirculation filter | 1 | Check your handbook | check your handbook |
Step-by-step
- Stop the engine and take the key out.
- Open the filter covers and take out the elements.
- Wear a dust mask. Tap the filters out gently, or fit new ones if damaged or due.
- Refit the covers and check they seal.
Tools: Screwdriver, Dust mask

Known problems
AdBlue system needs care
The T6.140 cleans its exhaust with SCR, so it must have clean AdBlue. Contaminated AdBlue damages the dosing system, so use a clean container and keep the cap shut.
Three gearboxes, different parts
The T6.140 came with Electro Command, Dual Command or Auto Command (CVT). Oil quantities and filters differ, so check which you have before ordering.
Many filter numbers in circulation
Agriline lists several superseded numbers for the T6 fuel and air filters. Order by your serial number, not by model name alone.
Repair guides
- Water in fuel, fuel filters and priming (common-rail engines) (Moderate, 1 hour): Water-in-fuel warning, engine hesitating or losing power, hard starting after a filter change, or a fault code for low rail pressure.
- AdBlue (SCR) warnings and power loss: owner checks (Specialist, 30 minutes of checks; dealer for faults): AdBlue level or quality warning, SCR fault light, engine power reduced (derate), white crystals around the dosing parts.
- Identify your gearbox and build before ordering parts (Easy, 30 minutes): Wrong filter or part arrives, oil quantity does not match the handbook, or a parts list shows several numbers for one model.
- Dual Command (Hi-Lo) and shuttle faults: owner checks (Specialist, 1 hour of checks; dealer for calibration and repairs): Hi-Lo powershift slow or slipping, tractor creeps with the clutch down, shuttle harsh or delayed, transmission warning light or fault code.
- Electro Command / semi-powershift: harsh shifts, no drive or fault codes (Specialist, 1 hour of checks; dealer for calibration): Jerky take-off, powershift steps slow or missing, no drive in one direction, transmission fault code, gear display flashing.
- Wet disc brakes worn: checks and disc replacement (Hard, 1 hour of checks; a day per side for discs): Brakes need a long push, tractor pulls to one side, brakes judder or squeal, friction dust in the transmission filter.
- Water pump and thermostat replacement (FPT common-rail engines) (Moderate, 3–5 hours): Overheating, coolant leak from the pump weep hole, squeal or rumble from the belt area, slow warm-up or a coolant temperature fault code.
- Electronic draft control (EDC) lift faults: owner checks (Specialist, 1 hour of checks): Lift will not raise, raises on its own, hunts up and down, EDC warning on the dash, mudguard buttons not working.
- Electro-hydraulic PTO will not engage or switches off (Moderate, 1 hour of checks): PTO will not start, starts then cuts out, PTO light flashing, PTO slips under load.
- 4WD front axle: kingpin play, hub leaks and oil level (Hard, 1 hour to check; most of a day per side to repair): Clunk over bumps, steering wander, play when rocking the wheel top to bottom, oil on the inside of the wheel or the hub, axle oil low.
- Air conditioning not cooling: owner checks (Specialist, 1 hour of checks; specialist to recharge): Air con blows warm, compressor clutch not engaging, ice on the pipes, musty smell, weak airflow.
- Starter motor clicks or will not turn: testing and replacement (Moderate, 1–3 hours): Single click or rapid clicking, slow cranking, nothing at all when the key is turned, starter keeps running after the engine starts.
- Battery light on or not charging: alternator and drive belt (Moderate, 1–2 hours): Battery warning light on, flat battery each morning, belt squeal, voltage gauge low, lights dim at idle.
