Known problems

Remote oil draw

Big remote cylinders can drain the rear axle low. Keep within the handbook limits (10–35 L) or top up, but never more than 4 L above full.

Transmission calibration

Dual Command, Range Command and Power Command gearboxes and the electronic management unit need calibrating after repairs or if shifts get rough. The handbook gives the procedures; a dealer can also do it.

Grease more in muck

The handbook says grease more often in very wet, muddy or dusty work. The swivel and suspension pins wear fast if missed.

Which first-series model

The TM115 is not turbocharged and the TM165 runs at 2,300 rpm. The TM150 and TM165 have the bigger front axle (14 L differential, 2.15 L hubs).
