Grease the bearing positions

Lubrication · every 20 hours

Stoll's lubrication schedule says grease the bearing positions every 20 operating hours, and shorten the interval if there is strong dirt contamination. The FC L has 6 nipples on each side, the H has 8 and the P has 11.

Hydraulic hose lines: inspect and replace on age

Hydraulics · every 100 hours or every month

Stoll says inspect hose lines and open and close the shut-off valve every 100 hours (at least once a month), and have the hoses replaced by a workshop at 4 years. Never use a hose more than 6 years old and replace porous or cracked hoses at once.

Step-by-step
  1. Lower the loader and release the pressure before touching any hydraulic part.
  2. Look at each hose for porous or cracked areas and leaks.

Grease the catch hooks and locking mechanism

Lubrication · every 100 hours

Stoll says grease the front loader mountings (catch hooks) and the locking mechanism every 100 hours. Greasing them each time you mount or dismount the loader saves extra work, and grease again after cleaning.

Check the screw connections at the bearings

Structure · every 100 hours

Stoll's service schedule says check the screw connections at the bearing positions every 100 hours and tighten if necessary. After the first 5 hours on a newly fitted loader, have a specialist workshop retighten all the mounting screws.

Step-by-step
  1. Lower the loader to the ground and stop the tractor.
  2. Check each bolt at the bearing positions against the torque table. The values are for clean, dry threads.
  3. Tighten any that are loose.

Tools: Torque wrench, Sockets

Check the change frame and loader for wear and cracks

Structure · every 100 hours

Stoll's schedule says do a visual inspection of the loader and mounting kit for damage, especially cracks, every 100 hours, and check the change frame for wear on its lower edge. The wear limit is 8 mm. A worn change frame can break off.

Known problems

Change frame wear

A badly worn change frame (over 8 mm) can break off the loader. Check it at the service intervals.

Tractor oil

The loader runs on the tractor's hydraulic oil. Follow the tractor's oil change schedule, then move the loader slowly to all end positions to clear air.
