Known problems

Reading the chart

The text copy of the periodical chart shows dots without column headings. The intervals here follow the dots from the rightmost column back (all columns means daily, four means 50 hours, three 500, two 1,000, one 2,000), and match the footnotes about 250 hours and 500 hours with biodiesel. Check the printed chart in your handbook.

Two maintenance schedules

The handbook gives a periodical (hours) schedule and a yearly schedule for tractors that do under 1,000 hours a year. It wants a service inspection after the first 100 hours to keep the guarantee.

Biodiesel

Over 5 % biodiesel: oil and filters every 250 hours, fuel filters every 500 hours. B20 is the maximum for the common rail system.

Original fuel filters only

Valtra warns that non-original fuel filters, even for a short time, may lower performance and cause expensive damage. No genuine part numbers were found for this model.

N2 Direct only

This handbook covers the Direct (N122 D and N142 D). The N Classic and Hitech tractors are in valtra-n91-n141.
