Step-by-step
- Open and lock the sieves. Check the gap between the discharge bushing and the spreading disc is 1.0 to 1.3 mm with a feeler gauge. Too small and the disc is damaged, too large and the pattern is disrupted.
- Check the discharge point: with the lever at Q, a rope measure from inside the rope to the discharge bushing opening should be 109 mm. Correct it by moving the dosing mechanism on its four fastening bolts, on both sides.
- Check the dosing baffles move correctly against each other.
- Do a tray test if the pattern looks uneven.

Replace the agitator axle seal

The handbook says the plastic seal must be replaced every season and after every 100 operating hours.

Step-by-step
- Work on a clean machine with the hopper empty. Wear gloves because of the fertiliser.
- Support the bearing ring through a dosing opening. Remove the three fastening bolts and the metal seal rings. Fit the new seal, refit the rings and bolts.
- Put the agitator back on the axle and recheck the dosing mechanism settings.

Grease the coupling shaft

- Grease the 4 nipples. Check the guard sleeves and check chains, replace if damaged.
- Pull the shaft halves apart, grease the running surface of the inner profile tube, slide the halves together and refit. Hook the check chains to the tractor side.

- Clean the machine and let it dry. Do not aim the jet at the seals and gearbox breathers.
- Paint damaged areas. Lubricate everything once more. Coat bare parts such as cylinder rods with preserving grease.

Step-by-step
- Put all the parts in one half of the gearbox, add the right amount of new grease, then fit the other half.
- Oil the connectors between the central gearbox and the disc gearboxes with a suitable lubricant to stop them corroding. These are used for border spreading and tray tests.

Nitrate fertiliser and heat
The handbook warns that fertiliser remnants must be removed from the machine before welding, cutting or grinding.
